Colors for 3D Custom Workshop vs 12 as delivered with Punch Platinum Pro vs 12

This list and instruction is for the purpose of using the Sherwin Williams Paint Library colors in 3D Custom Workshop on items that you have created. This is a combined list of both interior and exterior colors.

1. While in the main program select the color that you wish to use within Workshop. Make a note of the Color number and name that you will see when you place your mouse pointer over the color - ie SW 6258 Tricorn Black

2. Find that color on the following list and make a note of the primary colors from which it is made - ie Red=23 Green=22 Blue=27

3. Open 3D Custom Workshop and click the Color Button on the right hand side of your screen.

4. Find a color that you are not likely to use on your object.

5. With your mouse pointer over that color, right click and from the from the pop up menu that appears select ASSIGN COLOR and click your left mouse button.

6. Enter the primary color numbers that you recorded in step 2 above in the Red Green Blue boxes at the lower right of the Color Chart and then click the Add to Custom Colors Button at the lower right of that color chart.

7. Click OK in the color chart box and it will close and your new color will appear in the selected custom color box.

8. Color and save your object.

9. You can now click reset color in that same color box and it will revert t=
o the original color and your object will remain the new color.

Do keep in mind that your monitor or color settings may not produce colors that are exactly correct and so you will want to make your final color selections for actual painting with color swatches from your local store.

I hope that this method of working around the lack of standard colors in 3D Custom Workshop is helpful to you in your design project.
